Saki

saki (b. 2000) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores thresholds between violence and transcendence, memory and transformation. Working primarily through installation and performance, she uses fragile, time-sensitive materials—wax, hair, metal, and found relics—to evoke spaces of ritual and suspension. Through sculptural installations and symbolic gestures, her work evokes ritualistic encounters where the body is both trace and medium. Her practice draws connections between vulnerability, power, and the psychic weight of objects.
In Saki’s performance art, the entanglement of emotions and relationships is powerfully conveyed. Through the interplay of bodies and the act of braiding, she deftly captures the complexity of human connections, blending affection, teasing, pain, and submission. Saki’s work explores the delicate tension in intimate relationships, revealing dynamics that are at once tender and charged with power.
